FAQs

WHY AREN'T ALL OF MY EBAY ITEMS SHOWING UP ON NABIT?
There are a couple of possible explanations:
  1. Some items may be expired/ended and you may be past the number of days you’ve allotted in User Preferences to view expired/ended items.
  2. Nabit retrieves information from the “All Buying” portion of My eBay; if you’re interested in tracking an item you’re selling, you may by adding the item to your watch list on eBay or adding it directly to your watch list with the add item functionality in Nabit.
  3. Adult auctions may not show up in your list if you have not agreed to eBay’s mature audiences items policy. If you’d like to view adult items in Nabit, you’ll need to visit eBay and agree to their policy first.
DOES NABIT STORE MY EBAY USER ID & PASSWORD? IS MY INFORMATION SECURE?
Nabit does NOT store your eBay User ID or Password. You will notice that in order to open Nabit, you must sign in with your eBay User ID and Password. This login process, administered by eBay, grants Nabit a “token” to access the information in your My eBay account WITHOUT telling us your eBay User ID or Password.   If at any time you would like to revoke Nabit’s access to your account you may go to your account information on eBay and revoke the token granted to Nabit.  If you then decide you’d like to again use Nabit, all you’ll have to do is login again and a new token will be provided to Nabit.  It’s that easy.

I'VE ENTERED AN EBAY ITEM NUMBER AND NABIT IS TELLING ME IT'S AN INVALID ITEM. WHAT'S THE PROBLEM?
There are several possible explanations:
  1. Try re-entering the number; it might be a typing error.
  2. Item may have been removed by eBay.
  3. The auction may have ended. Ended auctions can not be added to Nabit.
  4. Item may be in the eBay “Mature Audiences” category. If you have not agreed to eBay’s mature audiences items policy you will not be able to add adult items to Nabit.  If you’d like to view adult items in Nabit you’ll need to visit eBay and agree to their policy first.
WHICH PARTS OF MY EBAY ARE INCORPORATED INTO NABIT?
Nabit incorporates your “My eBay” items into the ticker. When you’ve filtered by “All,” you will see Watching, Bidding, Won, and Didn’t Win. Nabit will import all items inside your My eBay lists, except for the items you are selling.

HOW DO I DELETE ITEMS FROM NABIT?
To remove items, click once in the box to the left of the item number in the item list tray so the box displays an “x.” Then click once on “Delete Listing” in the base of the Item Tray. All items you have not bid on that are removed from Nabit will also be removed from your My eBay lists.  Items on which you have bid can’t be removed from Nabit as they remain in your My eBay list even after the auction is complete.  You may set your User Preferences to not display these ended items if you’d like by choosing a short number of days to display ended items.

HOW DO I UPDATE AUCTION INFORMATION?
You can click “Update Item” or “Update List” at any time to get up-to-the-minute information on your auctions. Otherwise, Nabit will automatically update auction information according to the amount of time remaining on each auction:
  • Greater than 4 hours remaining: update every 30 minutes
  • Less than 4 hours and greater than 30 minutes remaining: update every 15 minutes
  • Less than 30 minutes remaining: update every 5 minutes
HOW CAN I CHANGE WHICH AUCTIONS ARE DISPLAYED IN NABIT?

HOW CAN I CHANGE HOW AUCTIONS ARE DISPLAYED IN NABIT?
Simply click on the desired heading on the Item Tray to Sort by Item Number, Item Title, Price, or Ending (Time Remaining).

WHY IS AN ITEM STILL APPEARING IN MY ITEM TRAY AFTER I REMOVED IT FROM MY EBAY?
If you bid on the item, it will continue to appear in your Item Tray as it remains in your My eBay list even after the auction has ended.

WHY DOES MY MAXIMUM BID NOT UPDATE WHEN I CLICK "UPDATE ITEM"?
Nabit communicates with eBay in two ways. When you click “Update Item”, eBay only communicates product specific information, so your maximum bid appears outdated. When you click “Update List,” eBay communicates your specific status for the item you are bidding on and allows your maximum bid to be updated.

WHAT IF I DON'T LIVE IN THE UNITED STATES AND WANT TO CHANGE MY NABIT TO MY COUNTRY?
(Australia, Austria, Belgium, Canada, China, France, Germany, Hong Kong, India, Ireland, Italy, Malaysia, Netherlands, Philippines, Poland, Singapore, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Taiwan, UK or US) You can simply go into the User Preferences for Nabit and alter the country preference. This will also change the currency to match your country selection.

DOES CHANGING MY WATCHED ITEMS IN NABIT AUTOMATICALLY CHANGE MY "MY EBAY" LIST?
Yes, if items are manipulated in any of your Nabit lists (All, Bidding, Watching), it will automatically change them on your My eBay list on the eBay web site.
